In our sleep deprived nation with 24/7 access to the internet & cable TV, who doesn’t want a good night’s sleep? When it comes to getting 6 hours or more of sleep consider some of these habits:
1) Winston Churchill: Every day at 5 p.m., the prime minister would drink a weak whiskey and soda before taking a two-hour nap. Churchill said this short “siesta” allowed him to get 1 1/2 days’ worth of work done every 24 hours, as he often would work until 3 am. As a result of his irregular sleep schedule, The “British Bulldog,” (as he was known) would hold War Cabinet meetings in his bath.
2) Mariah Carey: The pop singer states that she has to get, “15 hours of sleep to sing the way she wants to.” To achieve that Carey sleeps with 20 humidifiers around her bed, which soothes her sore throat from years of singing and add moisture to the room.
